Catholic Youth Group in Reading

News about Catholic Youth in Reading

It's been a remarkably eventful few months since our last post (apologies), the amount of young people attending Mass at St William of York has been growing steadily. It was nice to see that some of the original members who joined the group and who had left for other climes, have come back to visit, or returned.

Since George left for London in early 2012, and many of the leading members of the original group became busy with getting married, work and the usual issues that life throws at us, Juventutem meetings became more sparse. Liam took over as group facilitator, and the groups have since been meeting in members houses.

With Father de Malleray FSSP present we have been having round-table discussions on varying subjects and socials.

We are happy to welcome back George to the area,
George has promised his support in assisting Liam to facilitate more groups, and events for Juventutem Reading. Volunteers to help out are always needed, if anyone else is inspired to find out more about what is involved please do not hesitate to get in touch.

We are particularly looking forwards to more frequent posts on our website, and more local events such as walks, trips out, social evenings and Masses. We are also looking for any Students at Reading University or any of the colleges who are interested in helping out to get in touch.
